Who was Delia B. Powers?
In 1950 the Town of Freeport was most fortunate to receive from
Adelaide
Winslow Harb, in memory of her mother, Delia B. Powers Winslow, a
bequest
of this large, shore-front, scenic farm which her family had owned
since
the turn of the century. In a generous and farsighted move, she donated
it to be used by the public as a park and recreation area.
