Privacy Policy The Town of Freeport's web site has been created to serve the needs of its citizens, visitors, and the general public. We do not capture personal information from visitors to the site except to the extent necessary to make the site function well. Four clear examples: 1) We ask the name address and phone number of anyone requesting by email an emailed copy of the assessor's database. Residents wishing to have copies of meeting agendas sent to them will have their email addresses retained for this purpose by the site. 2) Email sent to the town is treated the same as any other written communication and, accordingly, may be subject to public inspection and legal disclosure. It may be forwarded to the appropriate agency in order to respond to the emailer's request. 3) Our Internet Service Provider collects rudimentary information for statistical purposes only and it cannot be traced to individual users. 4) The e-mail forms submitted for community news postings and requests for assessor's databases capture the system and browser the user is using.
