The Town of Freeport has a Basic Emergency Operations Plan, the purpose of which is to develop and implement an emergency management program. This program utilizes the resources of federal, state and local governmental agencies along with other organizations, for emergency management and disaster situations caused by natural, technological, man-made, or hazardous materials incidents. The Town's Emergency Preparedness Program also provides for mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery from such incidents.

  • Handle with care

    • Possibly mailed from a foreign country
    • Excessive postage

    • Addressed to title only or incorrect title
    • Excessive tape or string
    • Badly typed or written
    • Oily stains, discolorations, or crystalization on wrapper
    • Protruding wires
    • Lopsided or uneven
    • Wrong title with name
    • Restrictive markings
    • Rigid or bulky
  • Don't open, smell or taste
  • Treat it as suspect! Call 9-1-1
