MEETING MINUTES
November 29, 2007




Call to Order
A special meeting of the Freeport School Committee was held on November 29, 2007 in the Freeport Performing Arts Center. Chair Chris Leighton called the meeting to order at 8:45 P.M.

Roll Call
Present: Sean Crean, John Gleason, Chris Leighton, John Morang, Susan Martling, Beth Parker and Christine Munroe.


Communications
1. John Jaques and Peter Murray spoke about the school budget.
2. None were heard.
3. Update on Proposal to Consolidate School Districts – Waived.


New Business
1. On a motion made by Mr. Morang, seconded by Ms. Parker.

It was voted:
To approval submittal of the Reorganization Plan to the Department of Education, as amended.

Approved: 7 – 0
Public Comment on New Business
The School Committee took public comment on the submittal of the Reorganization Plan. Members of the public stated their concerns and also their approval of the work that has been done. The School Committee members also spoke.

On a motion made by Mr. Crean, seconded by Ms. Parker

It was voted:
To adjourn at 10:15 P.M. Approved: 7 – 0
